-I’m Reverbbeats Arua, Reverb for short.
When did you discover you could do music?
-I dabbled into writing when I was 15/16 years old. At 18 years I started making beats on my mobile phone, with the aid of an app ‘FL STUDIO MOBILE’, but before that, I used to be a Dj.
Who inspired you to make music?
-I don’t have a specific answer for that, I just listen to a lot of contradicting sounds,by contradicting I mean different sounds.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
-Afrosoul
What is your creative process like?
-Nothing Specific, before I could say I first write before I get melodies and all of that, but right now it’s more fluid, I just try different things.
What do you think about collaborations?
-A Burna Boy’s Collaboration would be a dream come true for me.
What is one message you would give to your fans?
-Stay true to you, no one knows you like you know yourself. That’s it.
What is that you’re currently improving on to make your stay in the industry firm?
-My Versatility I guess, I don’t want to be trapped in one box.
Do you sing in the shower?
-Hahaha. I could even write some lines in the shower if care is not taken. Inspirations from the shower are genius.
Which artiste could you listen to nonstop?
-Burna Boy.
What do you do right now aside music?
-I’m focusing my attention right now on music as there’s a lot of work to do on my craft.
Where have you performed?
-I’ve had just one performance right now, was at a pool party, 26th September I guess.
Do you have any upcoming shows?
-Sure, I got my own listening party coming up on the 9th of October.
It’s gonna be a shutdown I know for sure.
How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
-It’s bittersweet. But in terms of gaining a number of fans more than usual, it’s done that very effectively.
What is your favourite song to perform?
-It would be ‘Uju’, my first song. That song is special to me.
Which famous musicians do you admire?
-Burna Boy, Runtown, Wizkid, The Weeknd, Khalid, Fireboy, Mr Eazi, Flavour, Duncan mighty, just a bunch of different unique folks.
What other talent do you think you have?
-Hmmm, It’s all covered under music, I have a talent in virtually all spheres of music asides handling live instruments though.
What does your friends and family feel about your talent?
-Right now, they’re actually proud of me, there were some circumstances that made them skeptical at first.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
-Lol, there’s a long list, but I’m trying to change or rather be a better person before I make those changes, I believe best changes come from being an example of what you envision, right?
What’s next for you?
-Short term goal, that would be working on my EP ‘A Piece of Art, A Peace Of Heart’
