American singer and songwriter, Demi Lovato, and her actor fiance, Max Ehrich have called off their engagement. This is according to a news report by one of America’s leading entertainment platform, PageSix.
According to PageSix, the celebrity couple who got engaged in July 2020 have both decided to “call it quits two months after their engagement.”
In the report, it was highlighted that both Lovato and Ehrich have been struggling to make their relationship work after several efforts.
“It’s not over yet,” PageSix shared hours before the breakup, “but it’s on its way there.”
It will be recalled that Demi Lovato made her engagement to Ehrich known to the media back in July.
In the social post she wrote, she described he readiness and excitement to be someone else’s partner. She went to describe how she felt from the first time she met her partner and the undying love they both share.
“When I was a little girl, my birth dad always called me his “little partner” – something that might’ve sounded strange without his southern cowboy like accent,” she wrote.
“To me, it made perfect sense. And today that word makes perfect sense again but today I’m officially going to be someone else’s partner,” the singer continued.
Lovato who is a songwriter, actress, television personality, author, and activist rose to prominence for her role as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel musical television film Camp Rock in 2008 and its sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam later in 2010.
